2025 PlayCan sessions
Our next block of PlayCan (ASN) will take place at Queen Margaret University, Musselburgh. We will be using the Howff, situated in the outdoor space of the University. All are welcome, however this block of PlayCan has been designed with wheelchair and walking frame users in mind and may be less suitable for those who need an enclosed space.
Sessions will run on the Saturday 31st May, 7th, 14th and 21st June from 12pm until 3pm. Siblings, friends and other family members are welcome too, sessions are free and all ages welcome.
For more information about our block of PlayCan at QMU please read our Access Guide. Key points in our access guide include:
-
This block of PlayCan is wheelchair friendly
-
Toilets are available, some with transfer access (no Changing Places toilet)
-
Accessible and free parking
-
Large open area including bodies of water (may not be suitable for those needing an enclosed space)
-
On the 31st May QMU are hosting a Communities Day – this will likely be a busier/noisier session of PlayCan so may not be suitable for those needing a quieter/less busy environment. Activities such as drumming, bouncy castle, BBQ and forest school crafts have been advertised. We will endeavour to create quiet areas within the Howff. Families will be able to engage with the Communities Day as well so this date may suit families who enjoy a more energetic day out. The following 3 weeks of PlayCan in June should be quieter. More information about the QMU Communities Day can be found here.
