Cardboard is free so you don’t need to worry about using it up or making a mistake – you can always start over. Having plenty of cardboard frees your imagination! It’s low cost and all about imagination, learning and creativity.

Unboxed was a simple idea inspired by the play value of cardboard boxes. For five days in January 2025, the Corn Exchange in Haddington was transformed into a hive of activity. Children’s imagination, creativity and construction skills were let loose on an abundance of cardboard resources and simple making tools.
